The only feed for sheep was the left over hay from the last season. And that was disappearing fast thanks to the hords of grasshoppers and kangaroos that visited from the neighbouring National Park. Not much of a life for the sheep or farmer.

Ahh, the general vacinity. Its at the back of a property 20km south of Wagga Wagga. I camped there over the long weekend.

I didn't realise just how bad the drought is. Its amazing how if something is not mentioned in the news then it tends to fade from memory.

Hehe... I wouldn't want to be eating what was in that field tho. You'd have to chew for a week to be able to digest it ;)

I don't think many of us do. I live in Sydney suburbs, almost everything is green. Even the water restriction adds have seemed to have disapeared.

A fellow Sydnite, eh? ;) I know what you mean about having our fair share of rain lately. But even Warragamba Dam isn't getting all that much rain and is still getting lower. Australia is such an amazing but confusing continent.
